Front-end User Interface Designer / Developer

Specific Responsibilities:
- Create interaction models, user flows, and UI designs that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience
- Design and build beautiful web and mobile application UI using jQuery, SASS, and CSS3
- Ensure perfect functionality and performance across a wide variety of mobile devices and 1st tier browsers (No IE6!)
- Be creative and proactive about feature and architecture decisions
- Extensive experience developing consumer web application interfaces
- Solid intuition of best practices and tools used in user-centered interaction design
- Solid visual design skills, including an eye for typography and the use of color
- Proven ability to design in Photoshop, Illustrator or the like
- Expert experience implementing designs using HTML5, SASS and CSS3
- JavaScript ability a huge plus

JavaScript (CoffeeScript) Developer

Specific Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop a full featured client application using JavaScript/CoffeeScript and Backbone.js — we’re serious about using the latest and best technologies available
- Help design a beautiful front-end interface using jQuery, SASS, and CSS3
- Aggressively test front-end code using Jasmine and other JavaScript testing frameworks
- Contribute to open-source projects we’ve been developing in-house
- Be creative and proactive about feature and architecture decisions
- Occasionally spend time with Ruby/Rails3 on the back-end
- Expert experience developing web applications and web services with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
- Ruby/Rails experience a big plus

Windows (Azure) Systems Engineer
Do you have experience developing and deploying software for windows server environments? Have you ever deployed production web software to Microsoft Azure? Our growing, profitable, bootstrapped company is seeking to add a talented, motivated seasoned systems engineer who can help us migrate our existing unix-based Ruby on Rails / JavaScript application to Microsoft Azure.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Work with our Ruby/Rails engineers to deploy software to Microsoft Azure
- Migrate Amazon EC2 service dependent systems to work with Azure services
- Develop a deployment plan and toolkit to enable easy one-click software deployments to Azure
- Be creative and proactive about feature and architecture decisions
- 3+ years experience performing Server Systems design, implementation, and administration
- 3+ years experience analyzing system failures to minimize outages and interruptions
- 3+ years experience working with Windows Server operating systems (2003, 2008, 2008 R2, etc.)
- Scripting/Development Experience (.Net, Powershell, VBScript, etc.)
- Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails a huge plus
- 3+ years experience implementing solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies such as Windows Clustering, IIS 7.x, DFS, SQL Server 2008, SharePoint 2007/2010, Systems Center Operations Manager, etc
