Why work at Pathable? Different things turn our cranks, but here are a few of the top reasons:
Invent Great Software
Work on the new and interesting. Contribute to open source. Erase the lines between software for servers, the desktop and mobile devices. It’s all one.
Pathable engineers have been building a new kind of software, the way software for the Internet is going to be built moving forward. We started early and have been innovating ever since, quietly baking a whole slew of frameworks and libraries we think will make a real difference. You’ll be contributing to these projects from Day One.
Work From Anywhere
In this day and age, we see little value in forcing engineers into an office just so they can IM eachother across a room.
So where do you want to work from? The beach in Mexico? Your ski cabin near Whistler? Your office in your home, upstairs from your kids? We use Campfire, Tracker, Skype, GoToMeeting, e-mail and the old-fashioned telephone to minimize distractions and optimize communication.
That being said, we have offices in Sunny Seattle with 100+mb university-grade Internet (thanks UW!), fancy-schmancy chairs, and 8 coffee shops right nearby if that’s your can of jolt.
Plain Old Good Times
While Pathable engineers are deeply dedicated to our craft, work hard, and genuinely love what we do, we also know how to have a good time. Founded by burners, beekeepers and artists, Pathable is both deeply technical and highly social. After all, we’re dramatically improving how people communicate, interact and meet each-other. If you enjoy people just as much as you do engineering software that can change their lives, Pathable is the place for you.
